Apologies if you are looking on a desk top and seeing squint pictures. You’d think it was as easy as switching the pictures around, but it turns out that this messes them up on a tablet or phone.

But then you can turn a tablet or phone on its side, so maybe I should just do that…

Just a couple of sketches from the original visit in Birmingham.. trying to work out what will catch my eye. These two pictures are from the same spot but pointing in different directions.

Telegraph pole in Birmingham

This is the view if you turn 90 degrees away from ‘Sun After Rain’. It is the enormous blocks of flats in the distance that initially drew me to painting this site, but they have ended up as a ‘by the way’ feature now. I think this painting is mostly about how the pole that seems upright is leaning away from the wall. Photographer colleages believed I would paint this out. See also sketch book
